Bookings Terms and Conditions 2024

  1. Confirmation of booking A booking will only be confirmed when payment has been received. Your provisional booking request will be acknowledged by email and an invoice will be sent to you for the full payment amount.
  2. Payment Full payment is due 30 days after the invoice is issued or 1 day before the course start date, whichever is the sooner. The booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received. A booking confirmation email will be emailed as soon as full payment is received.
  3. Pre-course information Pre-course information will be sent out 1-2 weeks before the course start date. You must ensure that you have read the pre-course information. You must be aware of pre-course requirements especially relating to enrolment, responsibilities and contact time.
  4. Cancellation & Refunds
    Cancellations  can be made by phone 07736325753 or by email to info@communitytrainingsolutions.co.uk
    If the cancellation is made at least 28 days before the date of the course, 90% of the fee will be refunded.
    If the cancellation is made 27 – 15 days before the course start date, 40% of the fee will be refunded.  
    If the cancellation is made within 14 days of the date of the course no refund will be made. A free transfer to an alternative date (subject to availability) will be offered and will incur a £10 admin fee.
  5. Non-attendance Candidates who fail to attend on the date booked will not receive a refund and will not be transferred to alternate date.

    Failed candidate - Assessment criteria not met In order to gain qualifications, candidates must meet the required assessment criteria. Full and active participation on courses is mandatory.

    If a candidate fails to meet the required assessment criteria the qualification will not be awarded or be entitled to a refund.
  6. Failed candidate - Late arrival or insufficient contact time (e.g. leaving early) All courses have mandatory contact time. Late arrivals will be turned away from the course and prolonged absences during the course or any session, or leaving the course early will mean that the candidate will not receive certification or a refund.
  7. Cancellation by CTS If we need to cancel s course due to circumstances beyond control, we will reschedule the course at a time and date to suit the majority. Alternative courses will also be offered. If a replacement booking cannot be arranged then a full refund will be offered. CTS reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course at any time.
  8. Special Needs: Courses such as First Aid are an active, practical subject and can be physically demanding. Participants are normally expected to be physically fit enough to kneel, twist, and bend over simulated casualties, to sit on the floor, to perform simulated CPR, roll, be rolled and help roll simulated casualties.

    CTS welcomes requests for reasonable assessment adjustments by individuals with specific needs  10 days prior to the course start date. Requests will then be submitted to the awarding organisation.
  9. Certificates All certificates are e-certificates unless a specific request is made for hard copies. The certificates are emailed after being received from the Awarding Organisation.
  10. Insurance Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance is held by CTS.  
  11. Identity: Please bring some form of photographic (e.g. driving license) identity confirmation to day 1 of the course. If your identity cannot be authenticated during the course then certification will be delayed until the Awarding Body can confirm your identity.
  12. Photography: CTS may seek to use photos of students for website / publicity purposes. Please advise CTS if you would prefer not to be involved in this.
